We’ve put together a selection of day trips suitable for families, couples, and individuals. We’ve carefully selected and described each trip to help you make the most of your stay with us. The trips are no more than an hour’s drive from our apartments.
The Ribnica Pohorje region is a veritable treasure trove of scenic views and hidden corners. The trails are relatively gentle, making them suitable even for those who are less fit, and they do not require any special equipment.
The trip begins at the Ribnica Apartments, from where you can drive to the Ribniška Koča mountain hut, where you can park. From the Ribniška Koča, the trail will take you past the National Liberation War monument all the way to Lake Ribnica. You can also set out on the trail on foot from our apartments.

You no longer have to drive all the way to the coast to enjoy the beach! The Velenje beach is just 60–70 minutes drive. If you’d like a morning coffee with a view along the way, you can stop at Bar Mitnica in Muta.

The underground world of Peca isn’t just home to ore and minerals—it’s also full of adventures and exciting experiences. In Črna na Koroškem, you can soar like a bird on the longest continuous zipline in Slovenia. The drive from Ribnica na Pohorju to the Peca Underground, located in Mežica, takes about 60 minutes. The drive from the Peca Underground to Olimplina takes about 15 minutes. If you’d like to enjoy a morning coffee with a view, you can stop along the way at Bar Mitnica in Muta.
