Lake Ribnica, with its unique ecosystem, is one of the hidden gems of Pohorje and is a must-visit destination in our region. If you are looking for a short walk in nature, choose the Ribniško Cottage as your starting point, from where the trail leads you to Lake Ribnica in about 30 minutes. For a longer hike, which takes about two and a half hours one way, you can start from the village of Ribnica na Pohorju.
On the way back, you can stop at the Ribnica Cottage, where homemade delicacies on a spoon and blueberry strudel await you. Both routes will take you through the beautiful and unspoilt nature of our Pohorje region and will give you plenty of beautiful views, and with a bit of luck you might even meet a deer or pick some Pohorje blueberries.
