The Kope Ski Resort is the main ski center in the Koroška region. It is located at the westernmost point of the Pohorje Mountains, at elevations ranging from 1,010 m to 1,542 m above sea level, above the town of Slovenj Gradec. Thanks to the extensive plateaus and flat areas characteristic of the easily accessible slopes of Pohorje, the ski resort’s terrain is exceptionally varied. A 15-kilometer-long cross-country ski trail runs between the Grmovšek Lodge on Kope and the Ribniška Lodge. The long ski trails of varying difficulty are suitable for all recreational skiers as well as the most demanding ski enthusiasts. The elevation difference on the longest ski trail is a full 500 meters.
