This hiking trail is interestingly designed in the shape of the number eight. It will take hikers from the centre of the village past the Church of St. Bartholomew and then around a large pasture. This trail is perfect for the youngest hikers, as sheep graze here in the summer.
This hiking trail leads you from the centre of the village through the forest and is directed toward the peak of Pohorje. Gosak Farm is located on a large clearing where livestock grazes. The clearing offers an exceptional viewpoint over the village.
An excellent choice for all lovers of sacred monuments. They tell the story of the difficult lives of people in Ribnica na Pohorju and its surroundings. This hiking trail takes you past the Church of St. Bartolomew, located in the centre of the village. The exterior of the church features a bust of Bishop Držečnik, born in this municipality, specifically in the village of Orlica. Maksimilijan Držečnik was the Bishop of Maribor, most known for publishing the complete Bible and establishing the Slomšek Student Seminary. In July 2011, the City Municipality of Maribor named a street after him—Ulica Maksimilijana Držečnika—making it the street with the most letters in its name in all of Slovenia. From here, you continue your journey past the chapels of the Trail of the Cross all the way to the Church of St. Leonard and the village cemetery.
