Lake Ribniško jezero boasts a unique ecosystem and is considered one of the hidden gems of Pohorje, making it a must-see destination. If you're interested in a shorter walk in nature, you can start from Lodge Ribniška Koča, where the trail to the lake takes about 30 minutes. For a longer hike, which takes approximately two and a half hours each way, you can set out directly from the village of Ribnica na Pohorju.
On your way back, make sure to stop at the Lodge Ribniška Koča, where you can enjoy homemade dishes and blueberry strudel. Both routes will offer many stunning views, and with a bit of luck, you might spot a deer or pick some Pohorje blueberries.
