A 75 km long cycling route runs along the ridges of Pohorje, connecting the eastern part of Pohorje with its western counterpart. This transversal stretches from St. Bolfenk on the eastern side to Kremžarjev Peak on the western side. Local cycling paths from all major centres around Pohorje connect to it.
This route can also be joined from Ribnica na Pohorju. Start with an easy ascent along a dirt road to Lodge Koča Pesnik. The route will take you through the foothills and expansive forests of Pohorje. Along the way, you will be delighted by the natural attractions of Pohorje and numerous inviting stops where you can refresh yourself.

NATURAL BEAUTY OF POHORJE’S PRIMEVAL FOREST
In the vast Pohorje primeval forests, find the Šumik Waterfall. It is perfect for a short rest by the water. The path to the waterfall is narrow and slippery, so suitable footwear is recommended.
The Pohorje Transversal is marked in both directions with special red PT signs.
